In 2011 I was blessed to marry the man who completes my life and who, without him, I would not be where I am today. We celebrated the occasion at our favorite restaurant, Painters (located on South Country Rd in Bellport, hence the pattern name) and decorated the day with everything we are about; family and friends, amazing food and spirits, vintage trucks, plenty of fiber references and even our four legged friends. Many of you are familiar with our "famous" wedding picture with our "bride and groom" llamas. The most precious wedding gift I received was my wedding shawl, knit with my yarn, by longtime friend Ellen Sullivan. 2011 was before I had an extensive yarn line and way before I even had my own patterns. Since our day, I have proudly displayed my wedding shawl knit with what is now known as our "Bliss" sportweight yarn, but have longed to be able to recreate a similar concept that would capture that day for me and something that would be exclusive to Long Island Livestock Co. Thank you to Brooke Nico for making this dream come true. Use our Bliss yarn for the perfect wedding day wear, or any of our other sport yarns to create a beautiful shawl for everyday. A shawl that gives you just a little piece of something special in my heart and something filled with warmth and love.
