Welcome to our new blog! We think this will be a great way to share the stories of our colorful life on a 17 acre fiber farm on eastern Long Island. It may look peaceful and bucolic, but it’s always bustling! Add your email to our mailing list so you don’t miss a “single” one of our adventures!
This Sunday, August 7, is our
Pool Wool Party summer open house from 10 am to 4 pm. This is Tabbethia's end-of-shearing-season celebration! It benefits the Animal Rescue Fund of the
Hamptons, so in lieu of an entry fee, please bring something the shelter can
use such as pet food, toys, etc. The ARF
wishlist is here http://www.arfhamptons.org/giving-opportunities/wishlist/
The Wool Party is fun for the whole family, there will be guided tours, spinning demonstrations, walk-a-llama, sheep, angora goats, angora rabbits, and two pet piggies to pet, and more! Spinners will be able to get their pick of the fleeces that Tabbethia has been shearing up and down the East Coast all Spring. Refreshments are served on our front porch, and our farm shop will be open featuring yarns and rovings designed by Tabbethia, soaps and skincare, items for your home, jewelry, and many other things unique to us that cannot be found anywhere else.
A few weeks ago, this beautiful baby boy was born here…and he still does not have a name! So think hard between now and Sunday, and after you meet him, be sure to stop by our welcome table to enter the Name The Cria Contest! Hope to see you there. As always, if you can’t shop in person, click on the link to our online store, email us, or give us a call.
